The Government Association of Certified Public Accountants, Inc. joined the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants in celebrating the annual Accountancy Week from July 14 – 20, 2019.
GACPA day was held on July 17, 2019 with a One-day Conference-Seminar and Induction of the 2019-2020 GACPA Officers and Directors at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria, Ortigas Center, Quezon City with the theme: Reinforcing the Future Together Today.
There were three technical sessions:
"Promoting Work-Life by Accountants" with Ms. Vilma L. Fuentes, Acting Vice President for Mindanao, Government Service Insurance System
"IPSAS Update" with Ms. Luzvi Pangan-Chatto, Assistant Commissioner, Government Accountancy Sector, Commission on Audit
"Preparedness of the Accountants on the Effects of Climate Change" with Ms. Nieves L. Bonifacio, Assistant Regional Director, Office of Civil Defense, Region IV-B (MIMAROPA)
Ms. Evelyn S. Corpuz, PICPA National President, gave her Inspiration Message and was the Inducting Officer of the GACPA FY 2019-2010 Board of Directors and National Officers.
